Beautiful indigo embroidery on a silk brocade background. Much of the embroidery is satin stitch, but there is also some beautiful knot work and wrapped metal thread as well. Piece has been stabilized within a cotton frame, and backed with a light weight cotton. Late 19th to early 20th century.
Size: Approximate size 12 inches wide by 15 inches long.
Condition: There is some distress to the couched embroidery. The piece has been stabilized inside the cotton frame.
