Mario Valentino started as a footwear and leather goods brand in Naples in the early 1950’s, about a decade before the Iconic couture house of Valentino opened in Rome. Although It is a lesser known brand, Mario Valentino produced quality leather goods at modest prices. This bag is made of contrasting vertical strips of leather with two handles, and a unique cut out “Valentino” signature that repeats vertically across the front and back. This soft leather bag is cool and unique and if someone happens to mistake it for a vintage Luxury Valentino handbag… then so be it!
Great vintage condition. The leather has aged nicely (has scratches and wear but as it is quality leather it does not detract from the aesthetic). Fully lined in chocolate brown leather. Made in Italy for Holt Renfrew.
