WW2 Portable Agenda

This collection of two notebooks and assorted papers is a treasure trove of what you would need to keep in your mind while in the field during World War II. The loose papers include forms on bridge and demolition reconnaissance, parachute instruction training and minefield mapping. Both of the notebooks are ruled in 1/4 inch graph paper. The first notebook marked L’CPL Seymour RE is full of notes and drawings relating to tanks, maneuvers and demolitions and constructions. The second notebook marked Bath and Duty Roster C Troop has notes on Man Management, reports, diagrams and military manoeuvres including the Pincer Movement. There is an illustration or doodle of a stick figure dancing on a head – an apt metaphor for a front line senior officer. The outdoor cover for the notebooks is approximately 7“ x 5“ with an elastic band for closure. Inside the notebooks and documents fit inside a flexible craft paper pocket. Overall an excellent first person record.
