Moroccan Leather Scrapbook Album

This red Moroccan leather scrapbook album is filled with etchings and clippings from newspapers and periodicals of the time. Some of these have been hand tinted and find their place amongst original watercolours. There is a numbered etching of Shakespeare’s birthplace, marked number one of 69, although there is no additional signature. The poetry clipping called “Coronation ode for our Queen Victoria“ would help to date the peace to the mid 1830s. There are over 50 decorated pages. Album

Size: 7 3/4″ wide, 6 1/4″ tall.
