Antique Jewel Tone Overshot Coverlet

This hand woven overshot coverlet is done with two similar weights of wool giving it an usual texture. It has been woven into panels, that have been sewn together. The edges have been beautifully turned under and hand stitched. What appears to be fading in the salmon colour, is most likely caused from the variation in the dying of the wool as it is not isolated to one place. One edge of the blanket has been damaged and it has been re-stitched along the two panels at that point. There is some stress to the seam line down the centre of the blanket (see last 2 photos).
