These indigo dyed silk embroideries were made to be cut out and appliquéd onto a garment. They are on a light weight gauze that has been backed with paper.Most of the embroidery is a very fine knot work, bordered with metal wrapped thread. Mid to late 19 century. There is some damage to the paper around some of the embroidery.
Size: Approximate size is 7 1/2 inches wide and 9 inches high.
