Toronto Belden Bros. 1882 Condition:  Wear to bindings, Volume one missing part leather spine and a rip to cloth exterior; a few loose pages in volume 1; this volume is in fair to good condition. Inscription by later owner in 1978.  Volume 2 inscribed by initial owner 1887 good condition.  Over 500 b&w wood engravings in the two volumes. Binding is cloth with leather spine. George Monro Grant (1835 – 1902) was a Canadian church minister and writer who also served as principal of Queen’s College, Kingston.  27 cm w x 33 cm high  They weigh a ton.
