Scintillation vest with additional beadwork.
Traditional central Asian vest. Surface design is made by embroidering different weights of cord onto the surface fabric. Additional beading appears much newer than the actual vest, possibly applied in refugee camps in the Afghanistan area in the late 20th century. Lining appears to be 1920’s roller printed cotton fabric from Russia. Burgundy coloured fabric of the body of the garment appears to be at light weight cotton. Some staining to the interior fabric probably from sweat stains.
