The backing of this brooch appears to have been cut from a sheet of a silver metal alloy. The settings to hold the stones on the front are quite rough in execution. The stones appear to be a combination of agate, malachite, and possibly non-gemstone quality rubies. Early to mid 20th century. Possibly Kuchi Afghanistan
