Late 20’s Silk Satin Stripe Dress

Graduated satin stripe silk dress with chocolate brown velvet shoulder detail and covered velvet buttons down the back. Step in dress with metal snap closure down the back behind the buttons. Really special dress that captures the transitional style from the roaring 20’s to the 30’s when hems drop, waists rise, and hips are hugged.

As Found vintage condition. Has two rips in the fabric, one at shoulder and one on the bottom calf area. Needs backing/reinforcement, can be made wearable, or leave “as is” for a collector or for pattern. Velvet shows some wear and age. Purchased in France.
