Shibori-dyed Japanese Silk Kimono
Shibori-dyed Japanese silk kimono. There is some pattern variation and distress from wear and sun exposure. Beautiful example of this very labour-intensive dying process. Pattern variation is due to the style in which the fabric was dyed. First have to mid 20th century. Fabulous as a robe, or take apart and use the fabric.
