Antique Sampler With Windmill

Early sampler. Potentially as early as the 1820’s. Has not been removed from the frame. Appears to be silk embroidery on a cotton or linen ground. Possibly depicts a journey to the new world from Holland as the imagery represents what could be a windmill, sailing ship, church and a building with a sign. Maybe an inn? A cross, two candles, two birds and growing flowers could represent the joys and fecundity of marriage.
Fabric is discoloured from age and some dye leaching.
Fabric is approximately 5 1/2 x 11 1/2 inches.
