This heavy weight silver alloy decoration was probably made as an animal decoration for part of a horse’s ornamental halter.. It is made of roundels and rods. The stones appear to be turquoise fragments. The hook ends are very sharp as if they would be pushed through the edges of a cloak or coat. Possibly as early as the mid 19th century.
