Gujarati Folkstyle Indian Skirt


The hem and waistband of this folk style Indian skirt are made from other garments that have been repurposed . There is Gujarati style mirror work on the waistband and one band of the skirt. There is appliqué and embroidery throughout the garment.  The bottom of the skirt below the pleating is lined in the dark burgundy cotton that is common in this area. There is an insert to the side of the skirt to make it wider using unmatched fabrics. There is some wear to parts of the surface embroidery.
