Central Asian Vest Early 20th C

Traditional-style central Asian vest from the early 20th century. Surface designs are created by sewing different widths of cord onto the underlying silk fabric. Beautiful elaborate pattern on the back of the vest. Lining fabric is possibly 1920s roller printed Russian cotton. Buttons appear to be made of wood or cork centre with cord wrapped over top of them.

Condition: Minor discolouration to the lining probably from sweat stains.
