Embroidered Silk Cuff Band

This very delicate embroidered silk cuff band shows women in the garden, both tending their plants and enjoying the garden. Much of the embroidery is satin stitch, but there is some very fine knot work as well. The overall embroidery is very fine and precise, some stitches being 1 mm wide or less. There is some damage to the top of the piece as it looks as if it was glued onto something, and the folded under edges have been glued into place as well.
Size: Approximate size is 3 1/2 inches wide by 22 inches long. A very fine piece.
